Abraham Lincoln Quote

I have always been fascinated by the life and personality of Abraham Lincoln. When I saw the following quote on another (somewhat eccentric) blog, thought it was worth posting. Wouldn't it be nice if the legal profession, and society in general, actually took this sage advice:

Abraham Lincoln: "Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can. As a peacemaker the lawyer has superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough."
